Now that you have decided you are ready to start, the next question we get is "How do I get started?
Here is a step-by-step guide to get started.
Next Steps
This is a great opportunity for you to actually fly an airplane. It lasts an hour and it's a blast! It's also a chance to ask lots of questions and get to know us!
Do this either with your Discovery Flight or before you take one. We will show you the amazing airplanes and go through all the details.
Set up a Schedule
We use an online scheduling system that makes us paperless. You have control over your schedule. Schedule as many sessions as you like.
We will help match you with a Flight Instructor that you will work with throughout your training.
Although there will be plenty of in-person ground school, you can do much of the studying at home. This immersive and interactive Ground School course guides you through each module step-by-step.
Obtain a FAA Medical
We will let you know some Doctors that we really like. You will need at least a Third Class Medical for flight training. These are simple physical exams but does require an Aviation Medical Examiner to preform them.
You can pay as you go if you like. About 50% of our students will use some sort of financing. Some will use credit cards and others fixed term loans. We work directly with a couple lenders but there are other lenders available. There are also many scholarships available if you search
Determine Eligibility
You must be at least 16 to get a student pilot certificate, 17 for Private , and 18 for Commercial.
Be a US Citizen or Obtain TSA Approval
Read, write and speak English
Purchase Required Pilot Supplies
You will need a few supplies such as an Aviation Headset, iPad, books, charts, flight computer and a few other items. We will go through it all with you.
